Menorca - dawn to nightime over three days

This last post covers the best of the last three days, starting with a dawn from the balcony of our friends' apartment and ending with a night shot over the harbour in Es Castell.

These idiosyncratic windmills fascinated me: are they rigged with canvas sails onto the guys? A little like a child's windmill on a stick from my childhood?  The mechanism is so different to an English or Dutch windmill.  How do they work??

Return to Cavelleria by daylight

On to the old capital, Ciutadella

On the last morning, a walk down through the woods to the tiny inlet/beach of Cala Rafalet

On the way I spotted this chap, so indulged in a little wildlife photography - no need for pan & blur to catch this chap, though he did bolt for cover as soon as I saw him!

These show the entrance to Cala Rafalet from the clifftop; the rocks in the sea have all been detached from the cliff-face in that past 25 years so I wasn't too keen on getting close to the edge!

And finally a view acloss the harbour after dinner in Es Castell
