Ahhhhhh...... cute ducklings at my office

My employer has moved a week ago to a new office on the outskirts of Cambridge, and there, just outside the office is a pond boasting carp, terrapins, and, as of yesterday, a family of very cute ducklings.  I took a few shots yesterday, but went back today armed with a longer lens and a polariser.

every family needs a clown...

A try analysed

There has been no rugby for me (or Cambridge) since 1 February, so I was delighted that they returned with a win yesterday.  Sometimes I capture a sequence which really tells a story and I find it hard to discard any of them!  In this case the Cambridge player (James Ayrton, No 13) picked up a loose ball which had been kicked forward by his teammate just short of the try line and was tackled as he went over the line.  The sequences takes over there. It takes us through the process of making the score, his teammate's arrival and celebration to the point when the referee arrives on the scene and awards the try.

Mudlarks

A game of rugby played in dreadful conditions - very very wet under foot and a strong wind blowing down the pitch.  At least it didn't rain on us during the game - indeed there was sunshine for part of the game, but it didn't stop the wind cutting through us
