On a cold afternoon where I spent the first half of the afternoon with the sun shining directly at me, or with heavy storm clouds lowering and threatening, Cambridge beat Barnes by 62-15. In a game which was initially tipped towards the hosts when the Barnes wing threequarter was required to spend 10 minutes kicking his heels in the sin-bin whilst Cambridge racked up three quick tries. Thereafter there was no way back for the unfortunate visitors

Remember, remember...
A select group of Cambridge Camera Club members chose to ignore the weather forecast this evening to photograph the annual Festival of Fire in Cambridge. We were rewarded with a very mild and dry evening and a fine display of fireworks.

Light Painting
CCC members had a go at light painting on Wednesday evening. This set the imagination going as to what one can create with a few sparklers and a string of fairy lights. It certainly made me think about some simple mechanics which could be employed to give some more special effects. For now a yacht hull, a couple of cocoons and three original sparkler works by Barry Badcock entitled Wandering Hands
